Hi ICUCC,

I have just finished my 1st year at Imperial and have to say there is no better place to be than at IC cricket.

I’ve got involved with almost every part of the club this year, whether it be at training, BUCS indoor and outdoor matches, and of course the infamous socials that inevitably end at Slug. This has been the best decision I’ve made at university, meeting some incredible people and having such a great time playing the sport I love.

As fixtures sec, my aim is to make cricket as enjoyable for everyone else, as it was for me this year. At the end of the day, we want to play cricket matches so it’s important that the matches are at a time when people can play them. There is scope to have more games later on in the season once the majority of exams have finished, meaning that more people are available to play.

There has also been huge interest in the club xi friendly games, so I would love to get more of those arranged next year.

Lastly, although we have a 1s vs 2s game and a 2s vs 3s, I think it would be a great idea to have an event where we could have an inter-year tournament.

All in all, if you want someone organised, who has their head screwed on most of the time, I’m your man.
