Harshana Nanthagumar

Hi! My name is Harshana and I am running to be your netball captain for next year. Having taken part in multiple sports from a young age, I believe I have the necessary skills set for this role.

Despite having had minimal netball experience previously, joining the netball sessions this year has made me appreciate how welcoming it is to players of all abilities and the joy that comes with playing a team sport. This is one of the many attributes that I would like to maintain for the coming year, alongside encouraging players to take part in more tournaments as this competitive environment is what allows you to improve your skills whilst being a memorable experience.

Having also been part of subcommittee this year, it has allowed me to observe and learn from how the committee works together, giving me the chance to work on my leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
