Isil Su Sokmen

Hello!

My name is Isil Su, and I am a 3rd year Biomedical Engineering student. Through the Turkish Society events, I had the pleasure of meeting many of you during my time at Imperial. The society has played an imperative role during my time at Imperial, making me feel at home away from home. I have enjoyed all the events organized and have always looked forward to them each term. I am so happy to see this community growing so fast and am looking forward to meeting those who I haven't met yet.

As a candidate for the Events Manager position, my vision is centered on fostering a vibrant and inclusive community through various events to expand even more our growing community. Through these events, I am hoping that we could connect and reach everyone within our community. Organizing events can get tough, especially with regards to everyone's busy schedules at Imperial, but I will aim to recognize this and am hoping to plan various events, giving everyone an opportunity to join.

With your support, I am looking forward to working with the committee to make next year and welcome new faces! From Raki nights, dinners, celebrational and educational events, I hope to have a very eventful and fun year.
