Dionysus Christyselvarajah

Vanakkam everyone, we are Dionysus and Dharun. We would love to be your heads of events.

Dionysus: I am organised and adaptable to new situations, which I displayed while planning the subcommittee games night. I communicated efficiently with my team to ensure the activities we put forward were pragmatic and enjoyable so the night can ran smoothly. On the night we faced unforeseen problems, however, I swiftly brought the team together to provide a solution, demonstrating my leadership skills. Furthermore, helping with MM30 gave me an insight into the logistics, negotiations and fund allocations behind event planning.

Dharun: Chairing the TedX talks at my school, provided me with experience in the different elements of organising an event, for instance organising finances to allocating funds equitably to different aspects of an event, whilst achieving the highest attendee satisfaction. During the Naa Ready event, I was in the games design team, where I generated a plethora of ideas for games that people would enjoy. I also made decisions to prioritise certain games, due to the time constraints, to ensure the event ran successfully.

Sarujan and Ninthujan did an amazing job this year with MM30’s ball and afterparty. We will aim to live up to the high bar they’ve set by bringing other new ideas, focusing on smaller imperial events throughout the year such as: a fresher’s clubbing event, Tamil movie trivia and cinema night as well as dance workshops, whilst also enhancing attendee experiences of current larger events like MM Ball.
