I believe in the beauty of channelling naturally occurring immunological defence mechanisms in our bodies. First inspired by Professor Tasuku Honjo ( Nobel Prize Physiology or Medicine Joint Winner, 2018), I was astounded by the logic and physiology behind immunotherapy, not to mention its effectiveness and precision have offered us hope to cure cancer and other immunological diseases without serious side effects.
I have experience with running large scale events and medical conferences as a team. Being the chair of Hong Kong society and TEDMED coordinator of The medical Society in college have both equipped me with the necessary skills like leadership and problem-solving. Working under Isabelle as a subcommittee member inspired me to apply for this role because of unity of immunologist simply excites me, thereby I would like to further interconnect science passionists by organising more events like the following.
1. inter-University quiz night ( I have reached out to other immunology societies *UCL and they are happy about it)
2. Medical conference ( shorter timeframe, from 10-5, keep interactive workshops for our audience, potential external competitions affiliated with British society of Immunology )
3. Study groups for academic support: promotes active learning with Kahoot and group discussion: with the help of Cynthia and approval from Isabelle, we have managed to successfully ran three tutorials during Easter.
thank you for reading my manifesto :D please vote for me💕
