Cardiovascular: Vice Chair

Hi everyone! My name is Yashwin and I am a 2nd year medical student running for vice chair.

In the current world, where cardiovascular health is so key to human health and medicine, cardiology is a field with so much of growth and interest. I feel like students in general seem to have a pre-defined opinion that cardiology is tough and hard to work in but as vice presidents, I want to break this thought process and make this society bigger.

My plan is:

  1. Improving the cardiology conference through interactive workshops, competitions and poster presentations
  2. Introduce Cardiology tutorials through introducing in person and online version of tutorials for early years and creating one on one drop in sessions for students
  3. Creating a cardiology society booklet containing important information for exams along with question

More about me:

I’m Yashwin and I have previously been chair of my school council, so I have honed my leadership skills which puts me in a good position to take this role and assist the president in his duties. I am also part of a cardiovascular research team at hammersmith hospital which gives me access to world class researchers and consultants in the field

In conclusion, as vice president, I am committed to make this society bigger and unleash the true potential this society has through new innovative and inspiring ideas.
