Cardiovascular: Chair of Conference

I stand before you with dedication and commitment to create exciting changes as your conference chair. Having led several successful events as school council chair at high school, I believe I can successfully organise high quality conferences.

My manifesto revolves around 3 core principles:

  1. Innovation: igniting a culture of innovation is key for me as conference chair, conferences are usually the same basic plan with lectures and workshops. However, as conference lead I believe bringing in a research innovation competition for all attendees will ignite more interest and make conferences much more fun. Furthermore, as I am a part of a Cardiovascular research team at one of London’s best hospital - Hammersmith Hospital, I can bring in world class researchers in the Cardiology field for conferences and to help out with competitions, which would lure more students.
  2. Excellence: as conference chair, I believe conferences are not just for instilling knowledge or for students to get an insight into the field but it is for students to realize their full potential and become catalysts for change, through organising the right workshops with people at the top of their field will instil this value in students.

In essence, I am not just seeking a title but trying to instil a deep sense of passion in members and make this beautiful society grow.
