My reason for applying as Personalised Medicine Conference Lead:

• Big fan of personalised medicine - Through my independent research projects with Oxford Stem Cell institute on induced pluripotent stem cells, I’ve become more familiar with this field and I truly believe it will shape the future of medicine. Thus being able to get experience running this conference will not only allow me to contribute to further growing interest in this field and learn more about it but also allows me to utilise my experience of conferences to finally lead one that has a profound impact on its attendees

• Building on last years success, I will work tirelessly to ensure that the precision therapeutics conference is delivered well again this year and through speaking with previous society members I want to improve it from last year.

• Grow PMIC - only delivering a single conference which lasts 1 day is limiting its potential. Some ideas I would like to explore: Setting up lab tours at imperial/ companies, monthly newsletter containing latest information about personal medicine, occasional free webinars/ lectures.
