Heidi Reynolds
Hello, fifth years!!!!
My name's Heidi and I would love to be your academic representative for Phase 3a!
As someone keen to help improve the quality of our teaching, I aim to be the voice that delivers the changes expressed by our year.
Below I will outline the key points I would focus on, and bring to the role:
1. Student Feedback: We all know that being allocated to different hospital sites can sometimes mean that teaching quality suffers and you are faced with people who don't want to teach. Feedback is critical for understanding and improving our teaching quality so designing QUICK feedback forms where you can write your concerns and/or ideas post-placement will enable faculty to ensure we are getting the best.
2. My inbox is open: Should you have an issue you wish to raise you are always welcome to drop me a message and I will try my best to answer it (or if I don't know I will find someone that does).
3. Faculty meetings: I can confidently deliver your feedback and open a direct line of communication to the people who are best placed to change and improve our experience. I am comfortable liaising with faculty members, making sure we feel supported and heard.
If elected, I will serve our community with dedication and forward-thinking to make our transition back into medicine smoother and to enhance learning for ourselves and our successors.
