Hello! I'm Vanessa and I am running to be your Year 1 Academic Rep :)
Some of you will know me as the admin of the Offer Holders' Discord server, created to provide a supportive and friendly community for all Aero freshers alike before the term began! It has been my honour to meet such wonderful people and to see so many friendships flourish.
I will continue to foster this vibrant community, regardless of my position. With this election in mind, however, I strive to be the bridge between the Aeronautics staff and cohort, so that your voice regarding your academic journey is amplified. Your insight will be listened to, it will be learned from and, most importantly, it will be respected. Through my position as Academic Rep I will ensure that any major concerns or worries are quickly and efficiently communicated to the relevant staff, so that a beneficial solution arises. My previous experience in the local Youth Council reflects my desire to maintain democracy and respect to their best standards, which will allow our cohort to prosper.
Though the academic terrain may vary for you throughout the course of a year, I will hear you. And to the very best of my ability, I will support you. Our community is stronger together, and it would be my privilege to represent you.
