Hello!

My name is Tony, I am running for the Year 2 Biological Sciences Academic Representative position. Although this would be my first time in this role, I am confident that my communication skills and dedication to maintaining a well-represented academic environment make me well-suited for this position.

Throughout my previous year of study, I managed the communication between group members on projects, ensuring that all members were well informed of deadlines, tasks, and progress updates. This included making sure that whatever was discussed in-person would be reflected to all other members online as well. Similarly, in my role as an Academic Representative, I will make sure your concerns, suggestions, and feedback are communicated to the department in a timely manner.

In addition to academic experiences, I believe my experience as a team captain in organized sport has helped me manage a wide range of interests within a diverse cohort. I'm a team player and will always act in the best interest for our year. Although I may lack direct experience, I am eager to learn and always open to feedback if there's anything I haven't been able to address effectively.
