Bioengineering (UG): Year Two Representative (Molecular Bioengineering)

Hello everyone!

My name is Amro Aburass, and I am from Palestine. I am running to be your Molecular Bioengineering student representative as I am eager to contribute more to our Bioengineering department. As your student rep, I am committed to making sure that every voice and request is heard by the faculty team. I understand that Molecular Bioengineering can be overwhelming at times, and I will strengthen communication between students and the world-class lecturers teaching us. This will not only create a more supportive and approachable learning environment, it will also open the door to work on cutting-edge projects alongside researchers.

I will advocate for students facing difficult circumstances to ensure they have access to the resources, extra time, and support they need. Additionally, I will push for the availability of lecture material and recordings, including those from study groups. I am committed to creating regular feedback channels to receive your ideas and concerns to faculty members directly, ensuring everyone has the resources they need to succeed.

Furthermore, I aim to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and included, regardless of their background. By hosting Bioengineering events that celebrate our diversity, we can build an empowering community where every student can thrive.

As your student representative, I will work tirelessly to make sure you are heard and up-to-date with everything happening in our department, creating an enriching and inclusive experience.
