27 of Us. 3 Years. One Goal.

Hi BTV Year 1,

First off, getting to know the rest of you over the past weeks have been a pleasure. Being such a new course, not to add, a very dynamic and continuously evolving course (Our course content was changed this year!), the need for an Academic Representative is ever so present.

No doubt, all of us are talented and hard-working people, as a cohort I am sure collectively we will persevere to succeed. As the role suggests I would be a beacon for our collective views in this endeavour. However, especially being a small course to struggle individually could become an isolating thing. As Academic Representative, I strive to be a person who you feel comfortable to confide your struggles to and help you be heard. Furthermore I will:

1) Create easy channels to share feedback on the course e.g. struggles or things you want to learn

2) Have clear communication from professors and the course lead to the you, the student body (e.g. why we learn some things)

3) Grow into great entrepreneurs with you all

In order to deliver on this goals I will use my experience from initiating the First Interscholastic STEM writing contest in Bangkok, as well as running a STEM website and magazine and being the Varsity Football Captain for 2 years in Secondary.

Remember, 27 of us came here together, 27 of us will leave here together.
