Hey everyone! I am excited to run for the position of Year 1 Wellbeing Representative for EIE. I believe that a positive and supportive environment is key for our success, both academically and personally, and I am eager to help create that for all of us.

As your Wellbeing Representative, my primary aim will be to make sure that the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of every student is prioritized. I will work closely with department staff to promote mental health resources, support services, and workshops tailored to our needs as engineering students.

I will also promote social activities and opportunities to de-stress, helping to build a strong sense of community and belonging and improving the quality of life outside of study. For example, I would try getting a TV installed in the common room and create sleep rooms where we can rest between and after lectures. I strongly believe that a healthy and well-supported student body leads to better performance and a more enjoyable university experience.

My passion for this role comes from my desire to make sure no one feels overwhelmed or alone during this challenging time. I am approachable and empathetic about student well-being. Together, we can make our university experience not only successful but also enjoyable and fulfilling.
