Hello, I’m Tianhao LI, and I’m running to be your Gender Equality Campaigns Officer. I am passionate about promoting a fair and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of gender. Here’s how I will work to advance gender equality across campus:

Advocate for Equal Opportunities: I will campaign for equal access to academic and professional development opportunities. This includes pushing for more scholarships, leadership programs, and career workshops targeted at underrepresented genders in STEM.

Combat Gender-Based Discrimination: I will actively campaign against gender discrimination, harassment, and unconscious bias. I’ll work to improve reporting procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone, and promote anti-discrimination training for students and staff.

Raise Awareness through Campaigns and Events: I will organize events to celebrate achievements in gender equality and address ongoing challenges. This will include speaker events, panel discussions, and campaigns to mark important days like International Women’s Day and Trans Awareness Week.

Support Women and LGBTQ+ Networks: I will strengthen connections between gender-focused student societies and promote mentorship programs, creating a supportive community for individuals facing gender-related challenges.

Push for Policy Change: I will advocate for policies that support flexible academic arrangements for those with caregiving responsibilities and campaign for better access to gender-neutral facilities on campus.
