Hello, I’m Tianhao LI, and I’m running to be your Community Engagement Officer for Students with Disabilities. I am committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where all students can thrive. Here’s how I will work to improve our community:

Enhance Accessibility on Campus: I will advocate for improvements to campus facilities, ensuring they are fully accessible for all students. This includes better physical access, more accessible learning materials, and adaptive technologies.

Raise Awareness and Promote Inclusion: I will organize events, workshops, and campaigns to increase understanding of the challenges faced by students with disabilities. By promoting disability awareness, we can foster a more inclusive campus culture where all students feel valued and supported.

Improve Academic Support Services: I will push for more tailored academic support, including accessible coursework formats, exam accommodations, and flexible deadlines. I will work closely with the Disability Advisory Service to ensure that students receive the resources they need.

Expand Well-being and Mental Health Support: I will advocate for mental health services that cater specifically to students with disabilities, recognizing the unique stressors they may face. This includes ensuring quick access to counseling and peer support programs.

Strengthen Community Connections: I will work with student societies to create a network of support, where students with disabilities can share experiences and connect with one another. I’ll also facilitate forums where students can provide feedback on their needs.
