Hi everyone,
I’m Dmitry, and I’m currently pursuing Master’s in Risk Management and Financial Engineering. I studied Electronic Engineering for my bachelor’s, and realised I want a change. I’m active, happy, and positive, with extra time and plenty of ideas for things we could do together.
I love my home — the music, the food, the smell, the weather, the language, and, most importantly, the people. I miss it, and I want to help bring us all together: to chat, attend events, go drinking, or maybe a board game night? How about a karaoke with Allegrova or some pelmeni/plov-making quality time with chanson in the background? I’m open to ideas and eager to organize things that could bring diverse people together. With so many different cultures in our society, I can’t wait to learn more about yours and create a space where everyone feels cozy and valued.
What’s my vision? What are the steps? Honestly, I’m still figuring that out. But here are a few things I’d love to push for (besides what I’ve already mentioned):
- Inviting guest speakers (Bekmambetov? Pugacheva? Pelevin?)
- Career-oriented meetings with Russian speakers working here
- A day trip, or even a week-long getaway
- And much more…
My goal is for us to become a close community, not just people who know each other, but a group that helps, supports, and grows together. Some ideas might seem ambitious, but trust me, I won’t give up on them — I’ll keep trying until it becomes reality.
