Tejas Gupta

Hi everyone! I'm Tejas, a second year Biological Sciences student. I’m really interested at the intersection of Science and Public/Global Health. I'm generally extremely chatty and love meeting new people- a skill I believe essential to the outward facing role of events officer:) I’ve also personally collaborated with researchers in public health, and have published a paper on respiratory virus surveillance and how loopholes in the system can be addressed to improve Global Health outcomes. This work was published in the reputed International Journal of Infectious Diseases (IJID) in 2022.

I’m passionate about Global health and believe my experience in the field with government authorities and scientists will make me a good fit for the role. I'll be able to leverage experience and connections to organise events with renowned experts in the field that will help expose the members of the society to newer avenues and opportunities in global health.

Apart from all the serious academic stuff, with my uneccsarily over the top and crazy ideas, I'm sure I'll be able to help organise all kinds of events- maybe a fun games and trivia night or a dress up as your favourite threat to global health night xD
