Karen Dominguez Nino

Hello, I’m Karen, a 4th-year Aeronautical student, and I’m running for the role of Deputy Ice Skating Manager. I joined the society last January after rediscovering my love for skating—something I hadn’t done since secondary school. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I had an incredible time at varsity, participating in my first group show, and made friendships that I’ll cherish forever. The sense of community and support within the society was amazing and I’m eager to help others experience the same.

As a Deputy Manager, I aim to make ice skating accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their skill level. I know what it feels like to start again, and I want to ensure that everyone—from beginners to advanced skaters—feels supported and has the opportunity to grow. I’m committed to helping coordinate smooth and inclusive training sessions, promote skill development, and foster a positive atmosphere where everyone can thrive.
