Gaia Bellini

Hello! I’m Gaia, and I’m running to be Botanical society’s Vice Chair for the year! I’m a first year biology student, and I’ve had an ongoing obsession with plants since I was 13. I’ve recently developed an interest in fungi as well- mycorrhizal networks are so cool!!!

As vice chair, I’d work closely with the rest of the team to help come up with and organise fun plant-themed events for the society. These could include botanical walks, plant swaps, (planty) pub quizzes, and talks from speakers! I would make sure that as a committee, we’d take your opinions and requests into consideration when planning events so they are catered towards you. I’d also help organise our meetings and social events to keep things running smoothly both within the committee and during events.
