Annie Alocious

Hi! My name is Annie and I would love to fulfil the role of Vice Chair. As an enthusiastic member of Cardio Soc for the last 3 years and as Head of events this past year, I have thoroughly enjoyed attending and organising events and would love to continue in committee again this year.

Through my previous experience as Cardio Head of Events I was able to confidently work with the committee to plan and run Fresher’s Fair stall ensuring the sign up of over 100 new members as well as helping with the hugely successful Cardio Conference. My previous committee experience comes from working in the SurgSoc subcommittee, ClinGen Conference as subcommittee as well the Neuro conference where I will hold a lead role this year and have previously held publicity and public facing roles. These experiences make me uniquely suited to the role of Vice Chair. This year as Vice Chair, I would look forward to contributing to the conference and propose some new ideas. In Term 1, I propose a welcome event for new members to interact with the society as well as in term 2, a CRP/ Restart a Heart awareness event to engage those outside of medicine.
