Want faster event approvals? Easier finances? Better training?
I'm Tom, 4th-year Aero, and I'm running to be your DPCS.
Clubs, societies and projects (CSPs) have been at the heart of my time at Imperial, providing me with unforgettable experiences and a vital escape from my studies.
As Treasurer of the Arts&Entertainments Management Group, I represent 25+ societies and hear the problems CSPs face daily. Having held roles in four societies, I’ve experienced many of these first-hand. As a volunteer, I have:
- Fought for fair, transparent grant funding on the Clubs, Societies and Projects Board, which represents all 340+ CSPs at Imperial.
- Supported societies through the Activities Development Fund, allocating up to £70,000 to help CSPs grow.
- Co-organised a three-society, 100-person tour to Spain, securing College funding to make it happen.
I will take the stress out of running and participating in activities, making them the most rewarding part of university life.
How?
Supporting Student Leaders
- Cut response times for event proposals, financial approvals and emails, reducing stress and enabling earlier, cheaper payments.
- Improve training quality, ensuring information is consistent and easy to find, so committees hit the ground running.
Engagement
- Expand the Student Experience Fund to postgraduate and international students.
- Build a CSP alumni network, so you can stay involved after graduating.
Funding
- Create a fundraising portal and introduce Gift Aid, making it easier for societies to raise money.
- Offer tiered membership (e.g. social, competitive) to CSPs, so you can choose which works for you!
