Hello, I’m Jih Lei, and I’m thrilled to be running for the position of Secretary! With a deep passion for organisation and communication, I’m confident in my ability to make a positive impact on the success of our RCSU. As Secretary, my aim is to serve our organisation to the best of my ability, enabling us to better serve the community with excellence.
One way I plan to contribute to the RCSU is by facilitating efficient internal communication within the committee. To achieve this, I will follow the TACI principle—Transparency, Accessibility, Clarity, and Inclusivity.
- Transparency ensures openness in decision-making, with no private discussions happening without informing relevant roles, unless they are not related to the event or decision.
- Accessibility guarantees that documents are well-organised, easy to access, and that all committee members are kept up-to-date on internal developments, as well as event updates for the broader RCSU community.
- Clarity provides a clear follow-up system for tasks and decisions, particularly in terms of deadlines and expectations for each committee member.
- Inclusivity encourages active participation from every committee member, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone's voice is heard and valued.
I have a strong background in organisation and administration, having served as head prefect in high school. I understand the importance of collaboration in maintaining a successful organization. I believe a President can achieve even greater success with a reliable Secretary working behind the scenes to coordinate the committee and support the President's vision.
