Nadeen Daka
Hey everyone! My name is Nadeen, and I’m running to be your Departmental Academic Rep for next year. A little about me – I’m heading into my final year of Biochemistry, and over the past two years, I’ve developed a growing passion for neuroscience, writing, and finding the perfect café to complete my assignments in.
Serving as a Wellbeing Rep has been a rewarding part of my time at Imperial. I’ve loved being there for you all, relaying feedback, advocating for positive changes, and ensuring our concerns are heard. Through this role, I frequently engaged with academic concerns, and as I enter my final year, I want to take a more direct role in shaping our academic experience and making things smoother for the cohorts who come after us.
By now, I know first-hand the challenges we face– whether it’s unclear module deadlines, assessment fairness, or just figuring out how to navigate expectations. I want to be a proactive and approachable advocate, pushing for clearer communication, greater academic support, and more preparation for our life after university.
Whether you need help with a pressing issue or just some friendly advice from an older year, I’m here for you. You can usually find me around campus (most likely on the 5th floor), and if not, I’m always just a text away.
