Owen Jenner

Hi everyone!

I’m Owen, and I’ve had the privilege of serving as the academic representative for the Biochemistry cohort for the past two years. Through this experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the challenges students face and have worked hard to ensure that everyone’s views are heard and respected in SSCs and wider departmental meetings.

As I move into my third year, I am eager to take on the role of Departmental Representative, advocating for students across all year groups. Having experienced the unique demands of each stage of the course, I am well-placed to represent and support you—whether it’s academic concerns, feedback on teaching, or wider departmental issues.

If elected, I will be committed to:
✔ Ensuring student voices are heard at all levels of decision-making.
✔ Addressing academic concerns by working closely with staff and students.
✔ Bridging the gap between cohorts, creating a more connected and supportive Biochemistry community.
✔ Pushing for improvements based on student feedback, ensuring a better experience for all.
