My name is Sky Wang, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of CGCU Bolt Bearer. I have been actively involved in the City & Guilds College Union, and throughout my time here, I have developed a deep appreciation for the traditions and heritage that define our community. The Bolt Bearer role is more than a ceremonial title; it is a proud symbol of our Union’s history, identity, and collective spirit. I am eager to dedicate my energy to preserving, celebrating, and expanding the legacy of the CGCU if I am elected.

My primary goal as Bolt Bearer would be to ensure that every student feels a personal connection to our Union’s rich heritage. Whether you are a new student experiencing City & Guilds traditions for the first time, or a returning member looking to deepen your engagement, I want to make it easier for everyone to learn about and take part in our customs. By organizing informative workshops, social gatherings, and celebratory events that highlight the meaning behind our symbols, I hope to nurture a deeper sense of community and foster pride in our shared history.

Above all, I want to serve as a dedicated ambassador for the entire CGCU community. By listening to your feedback and being responsive to changing student needs, I can help ensure that our heritage events remain fun, meaningful, and reflective of the diverse voices within our community.
