Agni Sen

International Officer

Hey everyone, I’m Agni! I’m a geophysicist from Mumbai, India and I am incredibly excited to potentially be your International Officer for next year. A little fun fact about me is that I speak 5 languages!

Growing up in India, and moving to London for uni, I am acutely aware of the specific challenges, sentiments, and situations that so many of us international students must face. I hope to represent all of you and find solutions to shared problems, as well as, hopefully introduce new changes to international student policies that make it easier for us to attend uni in London without losing the feeling of home!

If elected, I plan to:

  • Passionately representing all international students and ensure that our concerns and voices are heard in Union and University decision making.
  • Organise feedback sessions (either in person or online) where all imperial international students can share their concerns so we can better understand what to work towards.
  • Keep fighting to ensure that international student fees are not increased by the Union, and setup systems of financial aid for international students - like an international version of student financing.
  • Implement more scholarships and bursaries specifically accessible to international students on the basis of merit and need.
  • Advocate for welfare concerns and foster a inclusive community where everyone’s cultural background is equally celebrated and accepted.

Vote Agni as your International Officer!
