Ishita Anand

Hi everyone! My name is Ishita, I am a first-year Ecology and Environmental Bio student from India and Singapore. Please take a look at my manifesto if you have time and feel free to come up to me and ask any questions during campaigning. Thank you very much!

Experience:

- 6 years of student leadership experience, including President of the Student Council at my school (the equivalent of Head Boy/Girl)

- Led a team of over 150 student leaders in a school of 3000 kids representing over 80 nationalities

- Created well-being systems in the form of class-level representative projects for students to be able to bring up personal and academic issues

- Worked with administration to support students from places of conflict and those studying abroad

Goals/Ideas:

- Better communicate the many wellbeing resources available at Imperial to my peers

- Provide wellbeing resources and advocate for International Students in both academic and personal spaces

- Create a 'check-in' event where students can discuss issues with any student rep, helping those who may not be comfortable speaking to a member of staff

- Liaise communication between admin and students about extenuating circumstances and guide students to where they can get the support they need
