Motivation

Through my time in MSoc, I came to deeply respect how the committee strove to make this place a home away from home. This respect grew into a profound interest about the inner workings of the society. This manifesto is the answer to how I can contribute to the growth of the society to my utmost abilities.

If elected, I plan to focus on 3 aspects:

1. Career
   1. To promote sponsorship, provide ad-hoc commission to companies who reach out to us to facilitate their one-time event. Utilising SCI to reach out to STEM related companies.
   2. Exclusive engagement session with alumni only for Y3s and Y4s who are more focused on career.
   3. Strengthen connections with ICAAM
   4. Recruitment of career associates from year 1s
2. Welfare
   1. Increase social events within buddy families.
   2. Promote buddy family to Y3s and Y4s.
   3. Prioritise senior years by allocating a larger portion of the budget for their care packages
3. Media and Communication
   1. Create more short form content for Instagram and TikTok.
   2. Produce a rough calendar of yearly events.
   3. Consider expanding the team into a small division

My focus is to persevere the current committee’s efforts in both fostering a sense of community within the society through well-planned events, and to increase our outreach to sponsors.
