Hi everyone!
I’m Aidan, your current DoCSoc Secretary, you may recognise my name from the weekly digest emails!
This year, I’ve run sponsor events, merch drops and barnights. I’ve also been part of the core team that put together IC Hack 25, working as Logistics Team Lead to manage all the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes it happen.
I’ve absolutely loved doing this, and I want to use my extensive experience and knowledge to bring you an incredible year.
If you vote for me, you can expect:
- IC Hack - I’ll lead the organising team to continue improving IC Hack, experimenting with new ideas for hacker experience and refining the volunteer system.
- Events - In addition to the great social events this year, I’ll bring you more academic events and collabs with other societies!
- Improving Huxley - I’ll bring back the microwave and coffee machine, and run a consultation on how we can improve your labs experience. I’m especially interested in bringing some colour and art in to make it less boring.
- Merch - I’ll bring you high-quality merch, with a focus on utility, style and sustainability.
- Transparency - I’ll draw the curtain back on how DoCSoc is run. From our sponsors to our event choices, I’ll commit to regular emails letting you know what we’re doing and why we’re doing it, taking your comments and suggestions.
