Archery: Captain

Hear ye hear ye, good people of Archery! The resident can't-decide-between-recurve-or-compound archer is running for Captain!

For those of you who haven't had the misfortune chance to know yours truly, I am Toby, a 1st year PhD student in Materials. I have spent around 10 years of my life shooting pointy sticks. I've spent 6 years of that with the compound, have competed in numerous competitions (won some shiny trinkets as well), and recently also picked the recurve back up.

Since joining the club in my 2nd year of undergrad, I've tried to helped out with the club in anyway I can. First by becoming the Records Officer, then the Treasurer the year after. And now, following the footsteps of the poor sods we call PhD students before me, I would like to run for the role of Captain. My time in committee positions in the club has allowed me to understand the operations of the club, and my experience with archery can hopefully help me in helping all members of the club with their archery-related concerns. I want to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment so that everyone can have a good time flinging pointy sticks, oggling at the newest shiniest risers, tinkering with their precision machined hunks of aluminium/carbon, and of course meet other people who like to do the same!

Thank you for reading and I hope I'll see you around!

P.S. Vote for me and I'll promise I'll let you try out my compound!
