Are you tired of emails riddled with typos? Of a president who skips trips? Of a president who secretly wishes he was still the tackle master?
It’s time for demoChrisy to come to an end.
Jokes aside,
Following in the footsteps of many great ICCC presidents, I was tackle master in my second year, and now in my third year, I am the club treasurer. These roles have given me experience on how all levels of the club work, and have paved the way towards my presidency.
Out of everything, what brought me back trip after trip is the community. First year was a bit rough for me socially, and I always appreciated to have this amazing group of people around every Tuesday to share stories with over a pint. If it weren’t for all the great people in this club, I would have never stuck around after my first few trips!
My past three years with the club were filled with unforgettable experiences: from waiting four and a half seconds for a rock to fall down a pitch I helped discover in Slovenia, to singing Greensleeves on the top of an unexpectedly snowy mountain in France. With this club, I’ve gone to places where I probably would have never gone to and done things I have never even dreamed of doing.
I want to be president to help keep this incredible club going for years to come, and give keen freshers the opportunity to experience this wild sport.
