Thurston Blount

Hello Cavers, my name is (of course) Thurston, and I would love to be your President for next year.

I love the caving club. There are not many more things that I enjoy about being at Imperial than the people and the general atmosphere in this club. I love being here. This year, I was no longer just a fresher, and I pushed myself to help the club as much as was in my abilities - and next year will be no different. Below are some reasons I think you should vote for me:

- During the first term, I had 4 committee positions - two treasurer roles and two social sec roles. Despite this large commitment, I still managed to get every piece of work done on time to an amazing standard, and I will be bringing this commitment, dedication, and punctuality to the club next year.

- I have had chances to develop my leadership skills outside of the club. For example, I stood in for the Head Chef at my workplace when he was on paternity leave for 3 weeks last Easter, and got experience managing up to 4 people at a time.

- I know how to argue with the union; I helped to sort out the minibus issues this year, and as RCC Treasurer I have learned a lot about how everything works, especially claims, and (eventually) annual budgeting.

In conclusion, vote for me, and together we can make everything purple and green.
