My name’s Tasha and I’m running for Club Captain!

I talk a lot, which means that if you are reading this, I have probably spoken to you at least once, so hello! But if you have not spoken to me, you may remember me from countless Socials and Tour photos, or maybe you have seen a few of the sponsors I’ve been diligently securing for the club throughout the year as your 2024/25 Sponsorship and Fundraising Secretary.

I have been a member of ICWFC since 2022, being a complete beginner when I joined. When I first started playing, there were times when I would genuinely be shaking before a match, but the love and support I received from my teammates encouraged me to stick around. I got so much better at football, but even more importantly, I have made lifelong friendships. Now, as I go into my master’s year, I want to give back to the club that so warmly welcomed me.

The club has already made such amazing progress, and as we continue to see women’s football become more popular each day, I expect that the club will grow even more next year, and I hope to be able to nurture that.

Sitting through weekly committee meetings, I witnessed firsthand how much work that senior committee puts in to keep the club running smoothly, so I know that being Club Captain would be no easy feat, but you can rest assured that I will be both responsible and organised!
