Luca Doltu

Hi everyone! I'm Luca, and I'm running for Club Captain. Many of you will probaby know me as the guy spamming the ICGC information chat every Monday and Wednesday morning with the signup sheets. For the past year I have held the position of Secretary, and have been a dependable, approachable and trustworthy candidate who has kept your gliding experience at the heart of my decision making. Behind the scenes, I have worked closely with our comittee and have built strong personal ties with Lasham Gliding Society. This has ensured a constant availability of instructors and gliders for our trips. I am happy to have seen so many new students join our club, with some making impressive progress through their training, and it has been a pleasure supporting each student through their journey.

I am now running for Club Captain. A vote for me is a vote for the ethos of helping every student get the most they can out of our sport. With a passion for flying and good relations with our students and the staff at Lasham, I am running to maintain the high standard you expect from ICGC, keeping gliding as affordable and accessible as possible. I would like to organise a winter trip for students to experience gliding in new conditions and landscapes. I am also excited to support new students and committee joining us, as some current members graduate and move on to new endeavours.
