Hi y'all!

From joining the team with limited sailing experience, to working as treasurer, and attending playoffs as part of Imperial White, being part of the ICSC community has been a whale of a time. As Commodore, I will enact the following initiatives to affirm ICSC's place as a top university sailing club:

Expanded Offerings

• Social Sailing : Year-round training and opportunities to attend entry-level events such as Castaways, Brunel Badger, and Old Joe for a taste of team racing.
• Windsurf : implementing windsurf training, attending events like Windsurf Nationals, and hosting our own windsurf event.
• Sailor Skills : continue RYA courses with QM, expand offerings to include RYA Levels. Advertize courses to wider Imperial audience.

Community Growth

• Imperial as a Team Racing Hub : host cross-university trainings and mini events (followed by socials) with UCL, Oxford, Brunel, etc.
• Club Crossovers : keelboat trainings with IC Yacht, joint socials with other societies.
• Committee transparency : release committee meeting minutes to the club.

Club Reputation

• Increased BUSA Presence : attend all categories of BUSA events (fleets, match racing, [womens] team racing).
• Running a BUSA Event : Hosting Team Racing Playoffs or Finals to strengthen our national reputation and relationship with QM.
• Imperial Icicle : push to 24 teams at Icicle 2026, maintaining our reputation for excellent organization.
