Hey everyone, I’m Jun, and I’m running to be your next ABACUS president!
University is an exciting change, but it can also feel overwhelming. Between being away from home, balancing studies and finding our place, it’s easy to feel lost. But for me, ABACUS has been more than just a society, it has been my home away from home.
It’s the place where I found comfort in celebrating familiar traditions and where I made new friendships. ABACUS has created a warm, welcoming space where we can celebrate our culture. Now, I want to give back and make sure everyone feels that same sense of belonging.
If elected, I will work to make ABACUS an even stronger home by:
🏡 Making events more accessible, I’ll work on lowering event costs so that everyone can join in and feel part of the family.
🍲 Expanding our event lineup, I’ll introduce more food events like hotpot nights and dim sum socials
💳 Exclusive discounts for ABACUS members, I’ll partner with restaurants and bubble tea shops to get ABACUS members special discounts
🎉 Revamping current events, making classic events even better with meaningful themes
🤝 Collaborating with other societies, I’ll work with other societies to create diverse crossover events, so we can make more connections.
