Micki van Zeewijk Vink

Hi everyone!

My name is Micki and I’m running to be your next First Aid Society President. I’ve really enjoyed being part of the society since first year, and this year I wanted to join the committee to help out and be more involved.

Why vote for me?

• The First Aid Society has been one of my favourite parts of university, and I want to make sure it stays fun, welcoming and accessible to everyone — whether you’re new to first aid or already confident.
• What I love most about first aid is how hands-on it is — you learn by doing. That’s exactly how I’d approach being President too: finding solutions as I go to any challenges that arise, working with the committee, and focusing on making things happen.
• I’m applying to become a Community First Aider with St John, so I’m excited to learn more and bring some of that experience back into the society.
• I know being President is a big responsibility. Therefore I’m very grateful that I won’t be doing this alone! I’ve even got it in writing that some of my friends (who are also applying for committee roles) will support me if I’m elected — so we’d work as a team to keep everything running smoothly.

I care a lot about the society and I’m ready to give it my best!
