Hi Archers! If you don't already know me, I'm Safiyya, the current Equipment Officer for ICAC!

I am running for the same role again. Despite how much I might have outwardly complained about equipment failures this year, I secretly loved the role and what was involved in it (and equipment failures are technically my fault anyway).

With my year of experience, I have plans to make the equipment process this year more streamlined and better organised. I feel even better equipped now to make cost-effective decisions that benefit the club and improve the experience for everyone. Here are some of my plans for 2025-26:

• Better stock of beginners equipment to be inclusive of size and handedness
• A lending-library system of donated equipment for archers to try more advanced equipment before they purchase (eg. shortrods, carbon composite arrows)
• An 'Equipment Officer's Tutorial Document' to help future EOs and make sure previous ones' hard work and wisdom doesn't go forgotten! (Shout out Herman for the inspo with your shopping list)
