Sani Abubakar

Hi I'm Sani, I'm a second year computer scientist and I'm running for Supply Officer. Over the past year I've been an active committee member helping out with the Wednesday and Friday sessions (through which I've met loads of cool artsy people!) and really look forward to helping organize the same quality sessions next year.

My organizational experiences, including creating a robotics competition for secondary schools and doing long-term logistics for ICHack, set me up well to take on the role and help maintain everything that makes art club great.

As Supply Officer I'd be in charge of keeping the art studio in good form, and making sure all the materials that our members need are there for your creative ideas to flourish :)

To this end, I endeavour to:

• Create an accessible inventory list of equipment available in the studio (you would be surprised by how much there is hiding in random boxes)
• Make a more transparent request system - so that we can prioritise purchasing equipment in highest-demand.
• Get pizza back at the Friday open studio sessions!

Alongside this, having received a lot of feedback throughout the year, I would love to push for:

• More merch - wholesale price sketchbooks, art kits, clothing etc.
• More projects - murals, cross-society collaborations, if you have any ideas and want art club funding let us know!
