Hello Indian Society! My name is Akhil, and I’m running for treasurer for this year.

As part of the subcommittee, I have helped to organise games night and cricket watch-alongs, so I know how to work effectively within a budget and keep things running smoothly. Having worked closely with the committee this year, I also have a good understanding of how things are run and a clear view of how the society functions as a whole.

With me as treasurer, you can expect:

Increased sponsorship: I’ll focus on securing more sponsorships to reduce ticket costs and elevate our events even further.

Bigger events: Building on the success of Utsav and our other headline events this year, we’ll make next year’s events even bigger and better, without any financial stress.

Collaboration with other societies: With my connections to committee members of other South Asian societies, you can look forward to exciting and impactful collaborations.

The society’s budget will be in safe and capable hands with me, bas muh se ‘wah’ aur vote se ‘haan’ nikalna!
