You might be wondering why I’m running for Treasurer again in my final year. Simply put: Hindu Society has been a huge part of my university experience, and I want to give back one last time. Over the past year, I’ve worked to ensure financial stability, transparency, and growth, and I want to push that even further.
As Treasurer, I've personally:
- Negotiated and secured £10,000 in sponsorships from Chaiiwala and Tezz, to support our events
- Launched 'Think Out Loud' in collaboration with KCSoc, creating a platform for open discussions on Hinduism
- Managed budgets and financial records to ensure every pound we raised was used effectively
If re-elected, I’ll also focus on fostering a stronger community by organising more pujas, social gatherings, and impromptu events, ensuring that students from all years can connect in meaningful ways beyond overpriced club nights (I think you all know which less-subscribed society I'm referring to).
