Aadi Kamath

Namaste!

My name is Aadi, and I am hoping to be the Treasurer for your Hindu society. I have been to many events hosted by Hindusoc, and I have truly enjoyed myself at these events. However, we can be better. Knowing how much funding Hindu society receives, we can organise a lot more events, socials, and festival celebrations.

Even though we have celebrated a lot of festivals this year, in a very fun way, there were also quite a few which were missed out, such as Makar Sankranti, and Basant Panchami. We should make an effort to try and celebrate these festivals in addition to the festivals we already celebrate. We could organise a lot more socials too through more frequent Aartis, Mandir visits, and Bhajan sessions. This way, we can develop a much stronger Hindu community here at Imperial.

It would also be good to see more guest speakers coming to campus to give talks on spirituality, philosophy, and scriptures. This can hopefully deepen our connection to our culture.

I hope that you vote for me, and I hope to contribute to making Hindusoc a stronger and more vibrant society over the coming year.
