Hey everyone! I'm Ashley and I'm running for the role of Treasurer!

Having participated in various ICSS events over the last couple of terms, I've really grown to appreciate the presence of a society with others from Singapore as well - a home away from home. Owing to this, I would love to be part of committee to bring to life so many of the events that have made my experience here in London away from Singapore a little less lonely.

I was part of the secretariat board for Council in my previous school - this means I am no stranger to complicated excel spreadsheets, handling budgeting and finances and ensuring that each event has their share of funds while ensuring that money can still be saved for future events. My experience with communicating with external parties will also lend a hand in ensuring that liaising with them for finances goes smoothly - this means more resources for Singsoc events!

One of my aims this year will also be to automate certain processes. Understanding that dealing with repeated admin matters poses an inconvenience to everyone and may even deter some from joining events, I hope to find a solution to this problem. As your treasurer, I will be prudent with our finances, prompt with delivering results and passionate towards the society. I not only aim to work cohesively with committee, but also be receptive to feedback from members of Singsoc to ensure the next event is better than the last!
