Nuvin Wickramasinghe

Hey everyone!

I’m Nuvin, and I’m excited to run for the role of Junior Treasurer for our Sri Lankan Society. Having been part of the subcommittee under the Head of Sales, I’ve had the chance to get involved—helping with decorations, floor planning, and helping on the day of Sapphire. Now, I want to take on a bigger role and contribute even more to the society that brings us all together.

Why Me?

Financial background – With my background in Economics, Finance, and Data Science at Imperial and my prior experiences, I’m comfortable with handling numbers and budgeting. I will ensure our society’s finances stay on track. My accounting module has given me a familiarity with budgeting.

Team Player – Whether it was helping out last year or leading a team during my work experiences, I enjoy working with others, making decisions together, and ensuring that everyone’s ideas are heard.

What I’ll Do as Junior Treasurer

Ensure financial transparency – Keeping our society’s funds organized and accounted for, so we can plan our events without stress.

Work closely with the Committee – Making sure everything runs efficiently, from event budgets to transactions, so that our society keeps thriving.

Most importantly, I’m passionate about making the Sri Lankan Society a place where we all feel connected, celebrated, and excited to be part of. I’d love the opportunity to take on this role and help our society grow even further.
