Hi everyone, I am Qaaim, a 2nd year Maths student and I am excited to put myself forward for the position of Junior Treasurer of Sri Lankan Society. With a strong passion for financial management and a commitment to the growth and success of our society, I believe I have the skills, experience, and dedication to ensure our finances are managed transparently, efficiently, and responsibly.

• Financial Responsibility and Transperancy: I aim to prominently display and account for every pound that is spent in improving and enhancing society affairs utilising clear financial reports available to the committee and members.

• Budgeting: With our most important event of the year Sapphire, I plan to create budgets that accurately depict and allocate funds and costs that are necessary to the running of the event.

• Sponsorships: A crucial part of the event is the numerous sponsorships that we have and I will aid our sponsorship team in seeking these partnerships.

My Experience

• After successfully completing Imperial's BPES module, Accounting Online, earlier this year I have gained a vast amount of knowledge of both financial and management accounting including creating income statements, balance sheets, budgets as well as how to make decisions and perform variance analysis, all using Excel spreadsheets.

If elected, I will work closely with the committee to ensure that our society thrives financially and funds are managed carefully and used to benefit all members.
