Let’s face it…
I’m pretty sure that we all know who is going to be President, and with visions for MathSoc as ambitious and grand as theirs, our society needs someone that they both KNOW and can TRUST to materialise these dreams.
And who better than yours truly?
It's going to be a big year for MathSoc, and only by reliably managing our finances and authorising requests can we turn these plans into reality. So let me work hard in the background to facilitate them all, while also securing greater sponsorship opportunities and liaising with the Union on your behalf to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
As Treasurer, here are the values that I will live by:
- Transparency in operations - Although I’m sure you’ve already seen enough numbers, as a representative of your voice, I believe in maintaining frequent and open communication to ensure that every penny is well spent.
- Full Accountability - Accountability builds trust, and trust strengthens relationships with our sponsors, both of which are pivotal to expanding our funding.
- Consistent and Orderly workflow
- Rational and Collaborative decision-making - My role is to make decisions, but I don't need to make them alone. The more perspectives we consider, the better, and the closer we'll be to meeting all of your requests.
