Hey everyone,

I'm Bharath, I'm in my 2^nd year, and I would love to serve as your treasurer for ChemEngSoc in the upcoming academic year.

I have thoroughly enjoyed organising and hosting events as one of your events officers, such as the pub crawl and bowling nights. During my role, I learnt a lot about handling the finances, such as negotiating with different venues to find the one with the best value and creating budgets for events to ensure that we could provide tickets at the lowest price possible.

Below are a few things I would like to achieve as your treasurer:

• Work with the committee to secure more sponsorships, so that we have more funding for our major events, such as the Pub Crawl and New Year's dinner
• Manage our budget and prioritise funding for more social events, workshops and tours - also ensuring that there's plenty of free pizzas and drinks
• Provide more subsidies to events so that ticket prices for all our ticketed events are lower
• Allocate more funding to ChemEng & Coffee so that we can serve free hot drinks more often
• Collaborate with other societies and departments to organise joint events
