Committee Experience

As social sec this past year, I’ve gained a strong understanding of how the committee operates.

I’ve created purchase orders, spoken to the ICU finance team for events like Christmas dinner, and been involved in discussions for subsidising events - giving me a good understanding of the financial processes that keep the society running smoothly.

Finance Experience 💵

For those who don’t know, I'm kind of an undercover finance bro and next year I'm fully embracing it by doing a year in the business school.

I previously worked in accountancy and finance for almost 18 months where my entire job revolved around creating accounts, managing budgets, and becoming besties with Excel so I’m confident that I have the skills to succeed in this role!

Chronically online 💻

If you’ve ever texted me, you know I reply fast - like, scarily fast. Money never sleeps, and neither do I (jk… kinda).

But in all seriousness, my time as social sec has shown my strong time management, organisation and general commitment to this society (over my degree). This means messages replied to instantly, budgets reviewed quickly and claims approved faster than you can say picolo mini.
