Hi I'm Catherine, a first-year student studying chemistry.

As a dedicated member of the club and a student passionate about both aviation and financial management, I believe I am well-equipped to ensure the club’s financial health and contribute to its continued success. I will ensure that all financial transactions are well-documented, precise, and clearly communicated to the committee and members. Budgeting will be my priority to keep flight costs affordable while maintaining financial sustainability of the club.

My experience as Treasurer of my high school’s Tennis Club has strengthened my ability to handle financial planning, track expenditures, and ensure responsible fund allocation, which I will apply to the Gliding Club. In that role, I successfully oversaw the budget, secured sponsorships, and implemented cost-saving strategies that benefited all members.

With strategic financial planning, I aim to make gliding more accessible to all students at Imperial - I will work to maintain or lower the cost of flying sessions, and collaborate with other committee members to negotiate the best deals on transportation. I will actively explore sponsorship opportunities and grants to reducing costs for members and expand our activities. Gliding is a unique and thrilling experience, and I want to ensure our club remains inclusive and financially stable. If elected, I promise to handle the club’s finances with care, efficiency, and transparency. I appreciate your support and would be honored to serve as your Treasurer.
